I'm looking at these 2 trailers and wondering how I can get my hitch to work with them. Any ideas? The one has the donut shaped ranch style hitch and the other has a pin style hitch. My Sahara has the towing package and 2" receiver. I'd rather not change out to a new hitch on the jeep just for this trailer because I tow various other things with a 2" ball

Is there any adapter that can go from my 2" receiver to either of these hitches?

If I take the ball out of my drop hitch, does the pin hitch style one just drop a pin in thru the hitch and my drop hitch tongue?

Should I just cut and weld in a 2" ball hitch on the tongue?

How much should these be priced at? The top one has a few rust spots that have eaten thru small parts of the body but both are in good sturdy condition and frame and suspension and tires look good for being 50 years ol

For the one with the "donut" hitch, you can get a combination 2"ball/pintle hook, from Northern Tool, Lowe's, etc.
It will go right into your 2" receiver.

I think you just need a pintle style hitch that fits into your 2" reciever. Construction trucks and agriculture vehicles use them, might check with Tractor supply or something along those lines.

Oddly enough I have one on my Jeep but no trailer, I just use it because it weighs 40+ lbs and helps with stability on washboard roads. Bought it ARMY surplus.

Get a pin that bolts on to the receiver hitch. I use one on my truck for towing around haying equipment. Have one hitch that runs 2 in ball pintle hitch combo and one hitch that runs the pin with a washer on top and j clip through the pin.

 

I believe I saw a Lunette bolt on style hitch for the trailer at northern tool a while back. The "donut" style is called a Lunette.

BTW. Those trailers are pretty heavy.

Nice looking trailer and I like what you did to it. It's a m101? Any problems towing it? I was thinking its a bit on the heavy side too but have seen lots of guys pulling them. I'll be using it to tow the dirtbike and dump runs all flat travel and short distances so I haven't been too concerned

 

I have the smaller M416. Google "Curt 48005 Receiver Mount Pintle" and find one for 55 bucks.

 

Those are nice lookin trailers but I need one to haul 2 dirtbikes in. What's the interior dimensions? Doesn't look like itd fit a couple bikes
