Default Painting Plastic !?

Is anyone else sick & tired of continuously polishing the countless plastic parts on their Jeep? ( ie - bumpers, flares, etc.) I'm mulling over painting any & all exterior plastic. Has anyone done this? Did you use paint or bed liner? What prep work was involved? And please show pics if possible ...along with pros and cons. Thanks Jeep Nation!

Try some peanut butter. If you don't want to paint them.

Krylon plastic paint works pretty well but you will have to re paint annually. It looks like stock plastic black and keeps the texture.

Yeah I got tired of maintaining my black plastic all over, so I used rustoleum semi gloss. Over a yr now and not needing any more paint. Working out great

edit:
I didn't paint the fenders, for those I use forever black no more than twice a yr.

Default How I would go about it.

They make plastic primer and paint that you might want to use.

I think I would clean the fenders as good as possible with a scrub brush and dawn liquid soap. Then wipe everything real good with your choice of acetone, rubbing alcohol, or mineral spirits. It would be best to wear gloves to keep your hand greese off them it that step. Then plastic primer (preferably in a dark color), and paint.
