Default Help installing Currie's rear coil spring retainer kit

I can't figure out how to get the top portion of Currie's rear coil spring retention kit installed ... it seems there's not enough space to slip the bung on the top of the coil spring bucket, let along get a wrench up there between the bucket and the body.

Jeep is a 2012 JKR. Got the lower portion of the kit installed no problem.

Any help out there??

This is the kit I speak of: http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/product.aspx?id=2852

Thanks!

Ha, I remember wondering the same thing but was able with much patience to get a wrench up on top (accessed through the rear fender well if I remember correctly). Have fun.

There is room to do this, I've done it plenty of times. A closed end wrench would work best for the nut on top. It just takes time and patience.

I made my own version of curries upper coil retainer and it was definitely tough getting the rubber plug and bolt through the top. Just like everyone else said, patience is key. And remove the rear wheels to give you more room to work

The actual piece doesn't fit, between coil frame and the body ..anyone do this on 2011 or newer? If so, the op needs to know how you got it in there ....

you cant go through the fender well. You have to get under the jeep and slide them in from the inside edge of the bucket.

mine is a 10. No body lift. Than again, the bungs I used could have been slightly smaller than those provided in curries kit

Sorry, mine is an '07. Sounds like a possible change to the coil bucket was incorporated into the newer JKs.
