Default 3.5" Rock Krawler Mid arm suspension

Does anyone have this lift yet? What do you think about it? Was the install pretty straight forward? Are there any bugs or gremlins that I should know about before I install it? They make a really good product and have a pretty good reputation so I went ahead and ordered it but I would like some feedback from anyone that has their products on their JK.

I asked this question in an older thread but didn't get any responses. I should be receiving it any day now and want to know what I am up against. Thanks

I've got it (3.5" mid-arm X factor) , and I think it`s a nice set up. I actually had a shop install it and that was a BIG mistake! They cut a lot of corners. I have to go back and fine tune everything including equalizing all the control arms and re-welding the track bar brackets . I should have just installed it myself Other than that, it seems pretty good. Jeremy over at Rock Krawler has been a great help, and has answered all my questions. I think you`ll be happy with it as long as you fine tune everything to specs Check out my rig in my gallery. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Thats a nice jeep. I was planning on getting the same wheels also. Are those the stock rubi tires, and if so, how much room do you have in the wheel wells? I am planning on getting 35" tires so I want to make sure there is plenty of room without having to add any spacers on the springs. Speaking of spring spacers, do you still have the front rake or did the lift get rid of it? Does the Trackbar bracket bolt on also or can it only be welded on? It says that it has a double adjustable trackbar, so do I even need to use the bracket? Sorry for all of the questions, I just don't want to many surprises when I start tearing things apart.

Yeah, my tires are stockers. As far as wheel well spacing, not sure i`d have to go out & measure on a level area that I don`t really have. I`d say a good 6-8 inches. Don`t worry, 35`s will fit fine. My rig sits pretty level , but I have those aftermarket bumpers, so it`s hard to say how it would sit stock. The track bar bracket bolts over the existing bracket and is recomended that you weld it if you`re gonna wheel it. I would weld it no matter what considering some folks have had their stock brackets break. The RK bracket really should be used as it is made to fit over the stock bracket and strengthens it. A bushing is included as a crush sleeve to prevent the thin old metal from doing exactly that. As I mentioned before, I had it installed, but I should have just installed it myself. At the time, I thought I HAD to send it out to an alignment shop. And also, I`m not great with breaks since it comes with crown stainless lines that have to be installed. Could have saved me $600 + bones Anyway, good luck, you should be good to go! And don`t hesitate to call Jeremy @ RK, he can walk you through some stuff!
