Default Short Arm lift suggestions?

I am currently running a standard 3.5" RE lift with Bilstein 5100 shocks on my '08 2dr. I am not too happy with the setup and am planning to try it again. My ride is VERY rough and the lift makes a TON of undesired noise. I half expected a loss in ride comfort but nothing to this degree...

Any thoughts on a high quality SMOOTH RIDING SA lift? What SA lift 3.5-4" is the most "bang for buck?" I do do a little off-roading, it is a jeep, but nothing too serious (rock crawling). Also, what shocks to go with lift? Plan to do a lot more to this jeep but want to straighten out ride and performance first and foremost.

You can't go wrong with teraflex. Mine rides great and the customer service is awesome. I was discussing a rear track bar issue that I was having here on the forum. Then out of nowhere teraflex jumps in and said. We changed the design of that bracket. Let me send you a new one for free!

I'll be going with the rock krawler 3.5" max travel kit shortly. just over $2gs for everything with shocks and I haven't read a bad thing yet.

I really do admire Teraflex, just having a hard time finding their right lift for me. I was also looking at a Currie 4" and was wondering of anyone knows of someone running that??

A Jeep can be made quite soft, but this would undermine offroad capability.

The relatively softer springs are Full Traction and OME.

Mine is Full Traction, 8 short arms and FOX shocks + reservoirs.
The ride is quite pleasant on roads and definitely softer then the stock suspension.
No noise from the suspension.

The Fox shocks could be re-valved to make the ride even softer, almost car-like, but then, offroad, the bump stops would have been frequently hit.

Tire pressure, at 28~30 psi, will, too, soften the ride.

Thanks for the input. Think I am going with Rock Krawler mid-flex and fox reservoirs shortly after.

Can't go wrong with either I am really impressed with my terra flex 8arms and fox shocks....
Always been a high speed desert guy and fabbed a lot of my trucks and suspension so its been a cool experience to be able to grab a bolt on quality set up....granted crawling is different then desert but the passion is the same....

OP: I am running the OME HD lift which netted me around 3" on my 2dr and their standard nitro shocks. I run the Teraflex Short Flex Arms to compliment it. The ride is great - comparable to stock ride. Just my two cents...

I bought a zone 3in for my 08 for about 550 it was easy to install(bout 4 hrs) and i have no problems so far. The only thing that i bought extra was a dual steering stabalizer.but this is coming from a jeep newbie...
