Default Mud Terrains and /32

I was wondering at what point should the stock 32" MT's be replaced. Is there an amount, say 12/32's or 6/32's, left when it should be replaced? I can't see taking these down too low and expect them to work all that well.

Thanks

Im sure it will vary greatly based on overall use but i've found that generally once the tires are down to about 7 or 8/32s there is a pretty big drop off in performance in bad on road weather as well as off road. of course mud will usually require even more tread then other terrain..... HTH

this is a daily driver, and with the snow coming I want to be prepared. I'm hoping for a little more life in these tires as my funds aren't quite where I want them to upgrade tire size

I had 50k miles on my 2010 Rubicon when I traded it, the tires had 7/32 tread left and was starting to get squirley in the rain.
