Procal?
Just bought a procal from my buddy to use on my 2012. He said he put his jeep back to stock correctly but for some reason I still cant tune my jeep. It beeped once when I put in for the axle ratio and than it pretty much wouldnt let me do anything. Does that mean it wasnt put back to stock properly or do I have a toasted tuner? I disconnected the battery for an hour like AEV said but it still didnt work. Any ideas
Is it 2012 compatible?

From AEV's site FAQ's on how to check for 2012 compatibility:
There is a sticker on the box of the 2012 Compatible Procals. If you do not have the box, one way to determine the version of software is to use the Clear DTC function on the reference sheet under Engine Functions. On Pre-2012 models this function completes quickly and just puts the Procal to sleep, there is no audible confirmation from the horn. 2012 compatible models will honk twice once the routine is finished. There is a rare scenario that can prevent the honk from honking on 2012 Procals, please contact us if there is any further question as to what version you have.
I saw your thread and recently bought a procal from quadratec. My aev module had a 2012 sticker on the box and works perfectly with my 2012 jkur. Just letting you know there is a 2012 version of the module.
Thanks for the replie guys. I dont have the box so cant tell from the sticker ill give the other way a shot. My buddy called northridge and dave told him that his module is compatible for a 2012 by looking up his order. He said he returned it to stock so wouldnt that remove the vin lock?
Per the instructions, returning the vehicle to stock would remove the vin. I would take it to your buddy and watch him do it. Not calling him a liar but he may of did it incorrectly. If that doesn't work, AEV is just a phone call away.
