Default 2012 jk, 30,000 miles later....

Happy to say I've had 30k trouble free miles. Planned to mod right from the start, but things got in the way and you know how that goes. Now its time to get wheels.

I'm going with 35" mud grapplers on level 8 strike 5 rims, without lift. Yes I'm doing the necessary things to accommodate this, I like the big wheels stuffed in look.

My question is, if I'm not going to do any offroading, can I get away with my stock drivshaft/ axles?

Also does anyone know if I have my dealer install an aftermarket exhaust like borla or banks I can keep my warranty? Thanks so much in advance!

Stock driveshafts will be ok with no lift, since the axle won't be repositioned, if you plan to disconnect your sway bars, I would look into an exhaust spacer for additional clearance with the penta-star exhaust route. Rough country and other manufacturers have these for short money.

35's are the danger point for the Dana 30, and depending on your wheeling style can be a possible point of failure. That being said, I've ran locked Dana 30s with 35's for years without issue.

Glad to hear about 30k!

As for the exhaust, its pretty much a bolt on, doesn't void warranty! So you can do it yourself and save paying the dealer to do it, or take it to a muffle shop (much cheaper)
