Default Help! Rubbing/Buzzing Noise After Teraflex Lift Installed

Just installed the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift on my brand new JK Unlimited yesterday. Since then, I've noticed a rubbing/buzzing noise upon acceleration. It sounds almost like loud mud tire noise and increases in pitch with speed. However, it goes away when I push in the clutch. Comes back immediately when I let the clutch out (as long as the drivetrain is under a load. If I'm braking or in neutral it doesn't make the noise). I reused my stock wheels and tires BUT I did install 1.25" spacers to accommodate them. I've double checked all the swaybar bolts, etc to look for rubbing but I couldn't find any. And since it only does it with the clutch out I figure it's not tire noise. Any ideas, fellow Jeepers?

do you have a 2012? if so did you do the exhaust spacers to bring the driveshaft away from the down pipe? did you realign you steering? it could be your esp spazzing out even over your wheels being one degree off. check all spacer torques. and also see if you have any loose or dangling brake lines, e-brake line, wires, etc...

All of those are great suggestions... I've been looking into them in the last couple of hours based on my forum searches. I've triple checked for brake lines or electrical wires touching anything and all that looks good. I realigned the steering last night and it feels dead on. I turned off the ESP today and still heard the noise, so I don't think it's that. It IS a 2012 and I just learned about the exhaust spacer kit. I've got one on order and will install it when it arrives. Hopefully that'll take care of it. I can't imagine what else it could be. It's definitely a rotational noise. As soon as I let off the gas or if I push the clutch in it stops. Maybe that's just because the driveline relaxes when I do that?

could be.. try putting some dirt on the exhaust where it is closest to the driveshaft and take it around the bock.. then see if it got rubbed off by the boot. or just see if there are rub marks already. you don't want that boot to tear and start spitting grease everywhere! also, i would double check the torque on the spacers and wheels anyway since you should do that after 100 miles of installing. good luck!

Yeah I looked for any evidence of rubbing on the boot but it looks perfectly clean so far. There's enough clearance there that I don't think it will be an issue unless I'm off road. Still going to install the exhaust spacers for peace of mind, though. As far as the noise goes, I think I'm just being "post-lift" paranoid. I can't hear it with the windows up and even with the windows down it doesn't sound like a "bad" noise. I feel like once I get the trail grapplers mounted they'll drown it out anyway.
