Default What tires can I fit?

I have a 07 JK with a 3in suspension lift. I have the stock 16in X wheels with 255/85/16 BFG MT's right now. These tires have done very good but next time I want to try a bigger tire. I am looking at 315/75r16. I am very confused about backspacing and what tires will fit. So my question would I be able to just put those bigger tires on my jeep or would I need to get new wheels? Would I need spacers? Or does that even matter? Sorry if this isn't much information but I am pretty new to all of this. Thanks!

A 315/75 is pretty much a 35" x 12.5" tire. Normally with a 3" lift and backspacing around 4.5" you'll be fine. You could also run the stock wheels and 1.5" wheel spacers. Contact Discount Tire Direct under the sponsoring vendors section and they'll answer all your questions and get you better pricing than you'll likely find locally.
