Default check engine light..

My check engine light keeps coming on... says its the catalytic converter.. Ideas whether dealer would take care of it. Or not really to worry about it...

How many miles do you have? If I am not mistaken, the cats fall under the "emission category" the warranty should extend to 80k miles. If you have your owners manual it should have the verbiage in there....

Plugged cats can ruin your engine

The cats will be under warranty if 80,000 has not been reached, but the dealers labor is not.

Does your motor use oil? If so, that is probably what is clogging it because that is where it goes
