Default Proper way to measure rake

Hi all. What is the most exact way to measure the JK rake? I would like to get the teraflex leveling kit (2" in front and 1" in rear) and I'm concerned that I'll end up with a reverse rake.

I have a 2010 Mountain and the front is only 0.75" lower than rear. But maybe I'm not measuring right?? Thanks.

For a start, be sure the Jeep is loaded up the way you use it. If you run with the seats full and a load of camping and recovery gear, the rake can get reversed in a hurry.

I just measure to the lip of the fender holding the tape so it drops along the center of the wheel.

If your front is only .75" lower, then I doubt you would notice a .25" increase over the rear.

However as was said, if you do load up heavy, your rear can sag badly.

You can also look at getting 19/60 springs and seeing how you like that. You can get then from your dealer for $130. Or just buy the rear springs and the leveling kit to get the lift and rake eliminated.

I just used a 4ft. level along the bottom of the OEM rock rails on my Rubi. I also checked it on my roof (hard top).

This. The pinch seam is also a good place.
Although not scientific, the way your doors swing open is indicative of your rake (so long as you're on level ground).
