Default Snorkel... Really?!?

OK, so ive been thinking about a snorkel... However, one thing has held me back - with the jk's, theres a lot of electronics... I have an '11 rubi 2 dr and have replaced the entire stereo system with high end components, dual amps etc. to submerge a jk to the level that would overwhelm the stock air intake would also submerge all the electronics... It would do this on a stock jk pretty much as well ans the dash stock radio is only a few inches higher than the air intake, and the stock amp is even below it!

So, thoughts?

Personally... I think intentionally submerging a $30-$50k vehicle in water and mud is ridiculous anyway... So just don't do it maybe?!?

There are tons of threads where people have driven through even puddles and hydro locked their engines. I don't plan on submerging my jeep to where the water level is up to the intake, but if I'm forging water even a couple feet deep, I don't want water being sucked in...

Yep... Thats the other point too. I understand if its a jeep for serious adventure... Other than that doesnt make too much sense to me. But thats whats great about jeeps... To each their own build. :-)

Get it for safety and because it looks badass.

I had mine a week and was going through a crossing I frequent. It was higher than I thought, hit a sink hole and sank in water past the door handles

There was no electrical damage. And thanks to snorkel. No engine damage
