Snorkel is on, whats next?
Ok, so the Rugged Ridge snorkel is on ( and it fits nicely with the Rugged Ridge light bar ), now whats next to water proof the JK?
OH, and does anyone know whether a Superwinch lp8500 is water proof?

What's with all the waterproofing? Are you going to drive thru the English channel? Really though , what are you driving thru that needs so much waterproofing? I really want to know.
If you haven't extended your breathers I would do that. It only cost about $15. I did a write-up

You have the air box mini snorkel that is on the front passenger side. It's pretty high up, but if you accidentally dip you hood in some water that could be a problem obviously. More of a problem can be just enough splashes getting into the air-box. It's recommended to take water crossing slow like 5mph just for that reason. I did some about 16"ish (bottom of the tub) muddy water crossings at the Badlands and got some mud stains, running down in my air box. That was taking it rather easy and not getting stuck or hitting a deep spot. There are times when you just don't know how deep something is just by looking. I will present you
EXHIBIT A - While this guy didn't hydro-lock I would consider him to be very lucky. If you play this from the beginning you will see it doesn't look deep at all.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6n-UQsYhLA Snorkels like the Rugged Ridge one (EXHIBIT B)without the air ram (as shown on the orange jeep) would take care of almost all your water concerns. One of the reasons they go up so high is so that they will also help with very dusty trails.
EXHIBIT B - Rugged Ridge Snorkel.

EXHIBIT C - How the hell did this hydrolock. I've seen alot of people get lucky, but then there is this guy.

I would like to apologize for using the word "waterproofing" Maybe it was mis-leading. But seems most people know what I'm trying to ask anyway. Thanx Rooster, breather tubes it is. How about the electrical connections on the battery for my winch and lights. Are they OK? Also I heard once there's an electrical box under the hood for the Jeeps CPU?
And shitty deal powderburn, I feel your pain.

DIELECTRIC GREASE
I have heard of dielectric grease to waterproof electronic components. I honesty cannot tell you much about how to do it, or really recommend it for that matter. It might give you something to use in a search. Just quickly searching myself it seems that you don't want to use it on the battery. You could put it in the fuse box then plug the fuses in. And wireing harnesses you could put it in the female side before connection.
