Default Painting Rubicon wheels

Hey, I'd like to paint my Rubicon wheels flat back...besides having them powder coated, what's the best way to go about rattle canning them? Is there is anything out there that will hold?

Thanks,
Chief

Look in my photo album. You'll see the process I took. I went to the extreme on my set. I sold a set I just cleaned, then bedlined. They've been fine for nearly a year.

Basically:

Clean - Simple Green and Mineral Spirits
Sand - lightsanding
Clean - Mineral Spirits to clean sanded areas off
Prime - i used Self Etching, auto primer is good too
Paint - Rustoleum Bedliner, any good NOT $0.99 spray paint will work

I took mine to Macco. Not the best i know, but for $25 per wheel with a 5 yr warranty, cant beat it. They turned out great too

How "light" of a sanding? Looking at doing this but not sure how much sanding is required. Also is the Bed liner mor forgiving when it comes to runs or the same as paint?
