Default Alot of Questions..

Ive searched the thread and havent been able to find a clean cut answer for some of these questions. So id figure id ask them all at once instead of posting each one differently. im just trying to know what i want to buy so when i get the money i can get things ordered. My current set up is a 2007 Sahara Unlimited. the only mod is new wheels

Thanks for the replies before hand

1. Do i need a 4 inch lift to run 35x12.50's? i was told by a dealership that i do or else it will rub. i also have 5.7 in. backspacing because i have KMC XD Monsters

2. If i have 35's do i need a tire carrier besides the one that comes stock?

3. Would the 4 inch basic lift from Teraflex be a good place to start with a lift or should i look at different brands and maybe get more for my money?

4. the lift i stated says i need adjustable control arms. what are those? and what are some brands so i can do some research on them

5. It also says that it may require driveshaft modifications. what would that consist of?

6. Are the Toyo Open Country M/T good tires? i was originally going to go with Nittos but after reading on here i changed my mind haha

7. Will i need re-gearing with 35's

8. also how do i know if i need rear spacers to fit tires with these wheels and tires i want to run?

Thanks alot for replies

Start there and any questions that aren't answered come back and ask. I think most if not all of your questions are answered in that post.

1. 2.5" will be sufficient. You'll want to run a 1.5" spacer with those wheels because the backspacing is very high
2. That is a heavy wheel/tire combo. Get an aftermarket tire carrier.
3. Teraflex makes a great lift, but also look into rock krawler.
4. With 2.5", adjustable control arms are not required, but recommended. At 4", I would consider them to be required. Once again, teraflex or rock krawler make a nice product.
5. You can get away with your stock shafts on a 2.5" lift, but I would start looking into aftermarket replacements, atleast for the front. At 4", both new shafts are necessary.
6. The open country is comparable to the nitto trail grap. They are both great tires, but very heavy.
7. Assuming you have an automatic with 3.73's, I would recommend re-gearing, but once again, not completely necessary with 35's.
8. You will need wheel spacers front and rear.

you can get the 4" teraflex kit with the adjustable control arms. you just have to search their site to find it. also with the tires look into the Goodyear wrangler duratracs or the m/tr with DuPont Kevlar, both are great tires and cheaper. I'm getting a great deal from my local discount tire. the 2.5 from teraflex and even the 3" kit will give you enough clearance for 35's. but definitely do your research and look at other kits also based on what you want to be doing ie, trails, dunes, rock crawling etc.

TeraFlex 2.5" -3" for 35's, 4" for 37's. You will need 1.25"-1.50" wheel spacers with wheel that have that much backspacing on them.

Adjustable front lower TeraFlex control arms #1653700, these will allow you to dial in your alignment correctly. Give us a call if you have anymore questions.
