Default Do I need anymore?

I have a 2012 JKUR and plan the following mods:

1. 35 inch tires.
2. 2.5 aev lift
3. AEV front/back bumper with tire carrier.
4. Procal.

Do I need any other changes to the mechanicals? I jeep will be a DD and once a month at best off road use. Thank you for any advice and knowledge...

Would have to know what gears you currently have to know if you need to change them. Should be fine with 3.73s or 4.10s

Big chance hes got 3.73's but then again, I don't know what package. However, I will say with the minor basic mods you plan on doing along with the not so often wheeling - you should be fine with the stock gears and the extra horsepower in the 2012's.

Default NEED more?

sounds like as much as you wheel , you didn't NEED any of it! only you can determine what you need and that is based on how you use it. Do you think you have really used the jeep to it's full potential? Most people have no idea of their jeeps potential , and yet spend way to much on mods. they don't need. A stock jeep can make it thru the Rubicon , do you think you wheel stuff harder that the Rubicon? I didn't think so!

he already stated he doesnt wheel but on occasion, but he obviously wants a little more clearance and capability as well as looks . nothing wrong with that. hes doing what most jeep owners do when they first get it in the driveway . whether or not they ever use the potential doesnt matter

The reason I don't wheel a lot yet is because I just got into 4x4. I traded in a highly modified 2006 Subaru STI with about 450 whp for the jeep. Do I really need 450 whp to the Subaru? No. Who needs that. Do I want it yeah? Do people really need a 8 billion inch TV? No people really need to wheel in the first in the first place? No. It's a hobby and building a jeep is a part of it. 100% of people in this forum do not need to wheel out of necessity. They do it for creativity and as an expression of solidarity. If they say otherwise, you don't need a jeep. People in South America, Africa, Asia climb more rugged terrain than Moab on foot and animals. Proof you don't need a vehicle to access rugged terrain.

C-gussets and some form of rocker protection should be pretty much mandatory for anyone who wheels.
