Default Wheels and tires

Hey everybody I know different tires have different uses, or so they say. I'm just curious who can explain to me the Pros and Cons of Alloy wheels vs Steel wheel. What size of wheel to go with? also tires... I'm pretty new to off-roading but i want to build a 'rig' in every sense an off-roading machine. I really want to pick this up, looks like a lot of fun.

Just a few details; I would prefer to not have more than a set of tires. So something I can use on and off-road (Sorry if that's just a given tire qualification), something big, and something that could take on some of the intermediate even challenging obstacles out west.

Thanks,
C-rad

Well if ur staying at stock hight then a 33" tire is as big as u can go.... As for the rims contrary to what u may think the aluminum alloy is stronger than steel and ifs light weight, steel is just cheaper (still good wheels in my opinion) I'm running 17x9 alloy wheels with 35" tires but I have a 4" lift... Stay with ur factory wheels for now and just get tires for now, they cannot get pricy depending on the brand... But a good all terrain tires is a good year Duratrac tires, General grabber AT2s, Mickey Thompson atz radial.... There's so many choices out there... It ballast depends on ur budget and taste
