Use a hair dryer to heat it up. Then use the non-wax dental floss to separate it from the body. Use Goo Gone to clean the area.

I just cut out a rectangular hole out of a piece of paper to fit around the Jeep emblem, a couple of pieces of tape to hold it in place, painted it with plasti-dip, removed the paper and then took a toothpick to scrape of the over spray and get the paint out of the middle of the letters took 15min tops. And still had plenty of paint left to do my front turn signals, trail rated badge, antenna and all 3 key holes

I just used plastic putty knife and it came right off. The hair dryer and dental floss was taking too long and the floss kept breaking. Just wedge the putty knife under and work it back and forth to get the letters off then use goo gone to get the old tape off. No scratches. I painted mine and put them back on with 3m. I don't remember which 3m but it was automotive or industrial. It looked and felt the exact same as what was on to begin with. Thick black stuff, found it at Target.
I did the same thing with my 'Trail Rated' badge.

Sorry no pics right now...

I removed mine with Dental Floss, and then used GooGone or something similar to remove the glue residue.

I don't understand why people are so animated about plastidip when you can get the black badge for the same price as a can of the stuff.
