Question 35" Tire on stock tailgate carrier

Just curious as to how many of you have run or are currently running a 35" tire on the stock carrier and whether or not this additional weight caused any issues. Feel free to elaborate on your experiences.

You mean like this?
I've had a 35" MTR on my stock carrier with no issues for the past 8k miles. I've shaken it around pretty good and no odd rattles or noises or bending noted on the tailgate.

I did it for months waiting for my new carrier. I doubt I made a week without someone warning me about it. I ran usually 2 or 3 trails a week and a lot of rough dirt roads in and out and never a problem. I run Falken Rocky Mts at 85 lbs, I think I'm around 105 with the wheels so one of the heaviest 35's around.

I'm sure welds have broken but I'd like to know the circumstances. How long, how heavy, how many times did you slam your bump stops, there are too many variables.

I have the stock wheels with the BFG 315’s and after 5-6 months, no issues.
When I close the tailgate the tire does rub/sit tightly on the bumper. The tailgate is not hard to close but if I don't close it firmly it does not close all the way

I ran a 35 for a week on my stock carrier while waiting for my AEV tire carrier to be delivered to me. I noticed lots of vibration during that week on the stock carrier. I have a much better set up now.

Extended bump stops, tire rests on the bumper. It is solid. No problems at all. Don't see a need for extra weight and expense from a tire carrier.
