Default No rear bumper options?

Hi all, I just removed my rear bumper, and I'm trying to find a good DIY project to put something back there. Right now I am thinking about somehow fabricating a bracket to put my hi-lift back there. Any ideas or projects anyone has already done? What do you all think about this idea.

Maybe Tramp stamp, relocate license plate, , hi lift jack, get EVO D-rings or the route I took was installing a PSC BFH bumper...I put my spare in the cargo area and strap it down.

I'm already running a tramp stamp with license relocate. I wish poison spider made that bumper in aluminum. Nice looking rig there.

High strength aluminum should be an option, although this bumper is already light, plus you're cutting framing and can also cut off the crossbar which is another 7-9 lbs. always scary when you gotta do surgery on it.

How bout doing EVO D rings and their Tire carrier? Or you could always do custom work and fab up something.

This is exactly what I think I am going to do. I really like the look of the spare tire, so Im thinking of an OR-Fab tire carrier for my hi-lift and antenna, and then get the evo d rings.

rock crawling without a rear bumper and without significant rear quarter protection is pretty much a risky deal...it really is only a matter of time before you come down on and therefore crush your rear quarters...that is if you actually wheel your rig..if not then you should be fine...i will try to post some pics of mine later when i was fabricating my rear bumper and only had the hi lift mounted to a piece of angle i had welded to my extended trailer hitch...i actually liked how it looked but knew the final results of running it that way...

Good to know that bumper is pretty light. I like the EVO D-rings but can't justify spending $150 for two pieces of metal. I'll probably end up fabricating something for back there. I run no spare unless I'm wheelin and then it lays in the back, strapped down.
