At what size tire do i need gears?

At what size tire do i need gears?

i think im about to put 315/70/17s (34.4x12.4x17) on my 2012 six speed, should i be ok with out regearing???

With the new motor and a manual, you will be just fine.

What gears do you have? 3.21 will suck on the highway, 3.73 will be low for hills or steep grades. You will get good MPH. Crawling will suck with less than 4.10 it's doable but you will burn up your clutch.

I have 33's with 3.21's in my 08 6 speed and it is not bad... you will definately be ok with 34's with the new motor.
