There is prolly a thread for this but i cant find it, would i be alright running a stock 44 with 37s or should i just run 35s, its my DD and will see wheeling but nothing crazy

 

i would think,you need to sleeve and gusset any stock d30 or d44 jk axle. with 35's or 37's

 

Most recommend getting c-guessets welded on for 37's and even for 35's its not a bad idea.

edit: sleeves or trusts most likely not needed unless you are beating on the rocks

 

I have been running 37" tires for a few years now on the D44 with nothing more than evo c gussets. Lots of hard wheeling, daily driving and long road trips. No issues

 

Sounds good thanks! 60 bucks for c-gussets is a cheap investment anyways

 

Does anyone think I would be ok going to the hammers on the trails sledge hammer and claw hammer. With a 2012 jkur w/ 2.5" teraflex lift, 1.25 body lift, EVO Protek skid, electric sway bar motor skid, evap skid, 1310 j.e. reel front driveshaft, EVO sleeves and gussets with 37" BFG km2's on Dana 44's

Lol. Ok, my girlfriends dad, uncle and older brother all have fully built cj's and they want me to go with them next week but I'm kinda nervous just cuz I don't have chromo shafts yet even tho that.probably isn't gonna help much cuz the stock axles are junk. But if I do break down I will at least be able to get home cuz all 3 of them have big trailers for their rigs lol

 

Go for it. If you break something then you will know what is next on your upgrade list!

 

I haven't heard any problems with 37's on the D44. However, I have heard that the stock Rubi lockers can start having problems when you go larger than 35". I seem to remember WOL mentioning this in a thread.
