Default Brake Pads... Squeak??

My brakes started squeaking about a week or two ago.. and I'm wondering what are some good pads that aren't that pricey...

I'm really happy and sticking with Hawk rake pads. No noise, and very minimal dust. $70 a set

I just looked at em and the front have about 5/16" - 3/8", which I believe is still okay... and the back at an 1/8", maybe a hair more.. so I believe I can get away with just swapping out the rear?? Any thoughts?

My Jeep is on its third set of pads in the rear, and second set in the front (weird that the rears tend to wear out faster than the fronts in our Jeeps, but I guess that's because of the difference in the size of the pads). I've been very happy with Hawk pads - quiet and fairly long lasting. On my first brake job (rear) I asked my dealer for a price on OEM pads and they wanted $240 for them . Yes, just the pads. I bought a set of Hawks instead, and have been using theirs ever since.

I replaced my pads and had my rotors resurfaced and I STILL have a squeak. It's irritating. Someone suggested I check the backs of the pads. Any ideas?

Btw, I apologize if my question is considered a "hijack", but its still on topic re: brake squeak.
