Default Painting vs powdercoating

I just ordered a set of PSC rocker knockers for my 13' JKU. I wasn't sure if it would be better to have them powder coated or if a regular poly would hold up fine. Powder coating is a little pricey where as I can have the paint done free.

Most people I know with the PSC just rattlecan them with a bedliner. Either rustoleum or duplicolor. It's cheap, looks great and blends in well when you need to touch them up. If you are driving your jeep properly, you will need to touch them up a lot!

I rattle can sprayed mine with primer and bedliner. Sprayed the inserts with a metallic paint and they have held help great. In another post someone suggested using rocker guard paint for looks with the same texture. If I were to do mine again I would try that.

I would go with the bedliner. Easy to blend.

Powder coating would be my choice. Had a set of wheels powder coated a long time ago and nothing has fazed them.

I like the way those came out. They look rugged yet clean at the same time..

Having recently used mine as rock sliders(saved my body panels) I would recommend using something you can easily touch up yourself. I used raptor liner on mine, but if I were to do it again I would go with something cheaper that's available at any hardware store.
