Default Before I spend my money. MetalCloak gamechanger 3.5" or 2.5" with 35" on JKR 4.11?

2013 JKR auto 4.11.
Thinking 35" with Metalcloak 3.5" gamechanger. Will told me the 2.5" gamechanger will be ready soon as they were testing springs the last few days. I will stick to stock fenders because I don't want the cops to bug me. I'm getting a 4.5" back spacing on 17" rims.

Do I get the 3.5" or wait for the 2.5"? There are no rock trails around here. I'll just be driving down old rutted out roads and playing a little if I find a good ditch etc. Around 60% highway 20% City and 20% off road. I know I'll loose a bit of up travel because of stock fenders but I'm not climbing rocks because there aren't any.

I wanted the fenders too but I think they are illegal in Canada with tires sticking out even a little if on the road. I'm getting a winch and a couple bumpers as well. I want the painted Aluminum ones. Thinking Warn winch. Hope there not made in China. I try to buy Made in the USA or Canada but sometimes its difficult! Everything seems built in China now!

What looks the best with the 35" tires 3.5' or 2.5' lift? Is riding on the roads better with 2.5 and off road better with the 3.5"? I don't want my highways drives to suffer when travelling to the city or the woods.

Thanks for any advise. I'm almost ready to order everything.

Thanks for any advice!

Get the 3.5 so you can fit 37s if you so choose in the future. If you are not chopping your fenders then I would go with the 3.5 even with 35s. Depending on which 35s you get and which wheels you use they may measure out closer to 33.

If you don't intend to do fenders, I'd do the 3.5".

I have an RK 2.5" lift and just installed 35's. It does rub a little on the fenders at full flex. I picked up used flat fenders from a friend, but haven't installed them yet.

Do you have the factory front bumper? It actually rubbed more on the air dam. I trimmed it a bit, but still rubs when aired down and disconnected. I'm going to remove it completely.

Plan on getting the MetalCloak front and rear aluminum bumpers powdercoated black and the 6 pack shocks as well.

After everything is installed I'll get photo's and let everybody know how it works and what i thought. It might be called show and tell but it will be all JK mods show and tell and how I feel about it. I've never driven a Jeep but lots of V8 trucks. I just decided to go with the Ultimate 4X4 of the decade. You don't win those titles for nothing. Now I will try going some places I wouldn't risk before.

I haven't bought any tires yet but with 4.11 would you get 37 which actually measure 36.1? I'm dyeing to go with that and the 3.5" LoLoL I'

Where can I find info or a status on the 2.5" Game Changer? I'd be really intersted in this, but it is the first I'm hearing of it.

I have a similar setup... JKR and looking to run 35s. Been looking into various 2-ish" options, but not quite sure I want as much as a 3.5" lift. Will be mostly daily driving with the occasional wheeling trip.

Not that I've had the Game Changer kit (I want it badly though) but I have had a 2.5 and a 3.5 on JKUs with 35 inch tires. I strongly recommend the 3.5 if you plan to keep the stock fenders. I hated how my 2.5 kit still rubbed with 35s, and I was actually running 34's technically (315/70R17s)

However, if you're going with tube fenders or planning on chopping yours up then the 2.5 kit should be fine.

Also as someone else mentioned previously; 3.5 will give you the option of 37s later on.
