Was looking at my tailgate tonight and noticed this bracket behind the spare tire on the right hand side of the chmsl. Was wondering what it is for. Does not appear to be factory. Bought the Jeep used. It's an 09 Unlimited X. Thanks!

I thought that too. Seems awfully heavy duty. It's like quarter inch plate.

Alright sounds good. Thought this thing was fairly unmolested. Guess I'll have to do some more looking and see what other things may be hiding!
