35" winter/ice tire , exist?
Have been searching to no avail. Does a 35" dedicated winter tire exist with the softer rubber compound and studable.
What I have learned is that you don't want a wide tire cause it will float and have less stopping power that a thinner tire.
The softer rubber on dedicated winter tires will stay pliable in cold temperatures to get the grip needed
Lots of sipping is a must
And studs ,for just that gripping power.
Would like to put winter on stock 17" rims. Anyone know this?

I've just been reccomended the dura tracs to fit on my 17x8 wheels. They come out at 32 inches and a bit. Apparently you don't necessarily want a bigger tire, since it will also be wider. And stupid expensive too, for a dedicated winter tire.
Hah. Well personally i think i just simply can't afford 35' gas consumption 12 months a year... I'm just happy here in quebec we need our winter tires for about 5 months
Oh but did you guys see those icelandic winter offroad tires? Freakin' beasts!!! I hope we get those here one day!
