Default Rugged Ridge Snorkel w/BL

So I installed my Rugged Ridge snorkel yesterday and its sweet. The only problem I ran into was once I had the tubing from my intake installed I tried to aling my snorkel and it was off by 1 1/2". I tried everything I could think of by no luck getting it to line up. After 3 beers and a lot of cursing I remembered I he'd installed a 1 1/4" BL years ago. I had to end up cutting my inner fender a bit and tweak the intake tube but I got it to line up perfect. Just a heads up if you have a BL get ready for a headache, but it can be done.

Is it gona be bad with a suspension lift? I got about 4" of lift.

And i tried! I tried to do a LS swap too. But insurance only gave me 5K :(. And i was lucky they covered the whole thing! The kits alone are 5K.

I have 4 inch suspension lift... no problems! the BL creates the headache because the engine components don't get lifted with the body... createing a bigger gap between the parts that attach to the body and the frame. Suspenion lift leaves those spaces the smae as stock. (but I'm not sure that it would work with some coil over setups and such.... I think it would be fine). So you'll be fine!

It actually says at the end of the instructions, not recommend with more than a 1" of BL(body lift). The suspension lift will make no difference on the install. I have a 4" suspension lift also.

A 1" would be no problem but for those of us with over 1" it turns into a pain in the ass.
