Default Dual Battery set ups for 2012+ ?

I haven't seen any in catalogs for the 2012+ JK's

Does anyone know if there is a product out there?
If there is someone who knows a good homebrew writeup with pics.... that would be great too!

Sorry to hi-jack the thread.
But what's the purpose of dual battery setup? What benefits do you get from it?

Battery life, lots of extra electrical items can strain a single battery setup.

For example, my patrol car has a dual battery setup because of all the lights, computers, radios, chargers.

And I have LED everything!!

I did see a dual battery set up somewhere... quadratec etc... it was tight though for the 2012+. If memory serves me right the kit contained a new plate for the batteries to sit on and it was like the batteries were turned 90 degrees from how the stock battery sits. From the appearance though a lot of lube was used to get them to sit together.

Does the second battery need to be charged just like the first one? Or is there some type of dual pos. and neg. charge nodes for both batteries?

You can hook up the batteries in parallel which essentially makes it one big battery (longer to discharge but also longer to charge) OR you can get a solenoid/isolator which separates the batteries until the main battery is charge, then combines the two so the second one will charge.
