Narrow tires are good in muddy trails and on snowy roads. Narrow tires also put less stress on steering compenets esp if used as a DD. An example of a cool narrow tire is the Km2 33x10.5.

I went with the wide look. The only drawback so far is that I didn't get a lift so if I am out doing some mild wheeling I rub the fenders a little. Nothing a budget boost can't take care of

Too bad someone does not make a 35 in a 11" to 12"width? With a wider tire you are pushing more snow around like the 12.50 again they have their pro and cons. But then again it depends on much much air you are running in the snow trails or just roads.

I am about to buy the BFG AT's in a 33x10.5x15 next week. I am in Colorado and don't need to float over mud or sand. My opinion is a narrower tire is more all around functional at least in my area. Gas mileage will be better and handling.

I did contemplate the 12.5 as well, but also didn't want a whole lot of tire sticking out of the well.

I will post some pics when they come in.

There are some in another thread about the MB 72's wheels in 15 inch.

slijo What year is yours and yes a nice 2" would do the trick. Spacers or Springs?-just depends on how much off-road you really want to do?

I got 325-65R18's (13" wide 35's) and love the look of them. You can definitely see the difference between 35-12.50R17's. I don't think you notice much difference in performance with a half or even full inch width difference. The larger diameter makes much more difference with rolling over obstacles than the width makes with anything, in my opinion.
