Better in the snow- Nitto Mud Grapplers or Toyo Open Country MT?
Well I sold my 2012 Rubicon and am starting over with a 2013. I have always run the Nitto Mud Grapplers and loved them. I go up to big bear 6-8 times a year for some snow and the Grapplers always did great in the snow for me.
I understand neither are snow tires and they are both owned by the same company. I am wondering if the performance between the two tires in the snow is different or the same to people who have run them in the snow?

are you open to running any other tire? if so, i highly recommend the GY Duratrac. i have 35 inch duratracs and they rock in the snow. they clean out well and hold great in compact or icy conditions better than a m/t tire.
I have lots of friends that run the toyo mt's and they fair pretty well however I used to have 35" mud grapplers and I feel I out preformed them every time, snow or no snow. I had km2's and even they did not to bad in snow but I hated them for the soggy west coast of Canada. IMHO mud grapplers all they way. I'd buy them again if I could afford them in a 37"

I actually had 38x15.5x18 Nitto Mud Grapplers and they did really good in the snow. Thats the reason for the thread, I knwo the Nittos work good in the snow because I have used them, just not sure on the same size for the Toyod since I havnt run them.
