Default 35in KM2 size look the same as my 305's

Parked beside a JK today w same amout of lift (hoods were level side by side) and noticed he had KM2's also. His (or her) JK had a stubby stinger and the tires were fully visable from the front view as mine. The tires height and width were identical with the naked eye. I thought the other JK had the same size tire as mine (305/70/R17). I looked and they were 35x12.5x17. The tires looked new also (still had the rubber tits on the edges). Just thought I'd share. I payed quiet a bit extra per tire for the 305's vs 35x12.5's. Can someone give some real measurements of their 35x12.5 KM2's on 17in wheels? My true measurements of my 305/70/R17 KM2's are 33.5x12 on a 9in wide wheel.

305/70-17 is only a 33.8" tire according to the numbers

You take 305÷25.4 to get width

Then u take width times '70'

Take thar number times 2 then add rim size.
Works with all metric measured tires

Already know the math formula (machinest by trade). I get alot of prints that has to be converted from metric to American standard due to the dials on certain equiptment. I was going for a 34 diameter tire. Was glad when BFG offered the 305/70/r17 tire size. I just didn't realize that the 35x12.5 was that undersized untill I saw one next to mine.

As memory serves, my 35x12.50x17s measured 33.75" on the ground from garage floor to the top of the tire. This was the number I used in my Procal for speedo correction. A little disappointing not getting the whole 35" cuz we all know size DOES matter
