Default Your Bilstein 5160 Remote Res on 2dr

I am currently running Bilstein 5100's, but looking to upgrade to the remote resevoir 5160's for the more sensitive dampening, and longer travel. Would like to know how you like your 5160's and like to see pics of them on your JK thanks.

Also, not sure which size to get. Odd sizes off 1.5"-3", or 3.5"-5.0", or 2". I have a 3.25" lift. Not sure between the 1.5-3, or the 3.5-5.0? Want to be sure I have all the travel my height can handle

When in doubt, go longer. You can always add coil retainers or limiting straps later if their horribly too long and bump stop them appropriately. going too short will simply limit your wheel travel and you will probably feel like it under performs on the trail.

The 2" lift ones are around 25" long, 625mm front and 635mm rear, so probably a little short for a 3" lift, especially if you want articulation. The 4" ones are around 27" or 700mm long which work well on a 3" lift, especially of you have the longer progressive coils, you will not need to retain. I run the shorter ones up front in an effort to protect my driveshaft and other front end components that seem to keep braking, and the LT in the rear. I have a 2 to maybe 2.5" lift with progressive coils.

yeah that makes sense. I feel like I should go with the longer ones, but like you mentioned it makes me concerned about the stress put on drive shafts etc. I'll just have to keep getting opinions, be cool if Wayalife could help me out here

You'll want to get the longer shocks. Here's a few pics of them on mine - by far worth the extra $
