Does any one know how the roof rack installs on the hard top.
Is it just bolted on or is their a sub frame on the inside that extends the rest of the way to tub?
Any and all pictures would be helpful

 

I'd love to hear from anyone with a 2 door that has the racks and find out the dimentions and see what the distance is from the front to rear bars. I've a 2012 2 door which i know the windows on the hard top are now bigger than the 07-10's. i emailed MBRP and they were somewhat lacing in info or helpfulness.

 

The MBRP JK/JKU rack is secured/w 16 SS bolts to the sides of the hard top and will support 350lbs mobile and over 750lbs stationary, (RTTs)-!

I have done alot of Rack research and made the decision to get an MBRP rack for my 2 door 2011 JK Rubicon only to find out it wont fit. I too Contacted the Manufacturer which offered no help or encouragement.


Couple of Questions for you Forum Users

1. I have heard that a 2010 top will fit on my 2011, so now I am wondering if anyone would like to have a 2011 TOP with the bigger Window for a Straight across Trade.

2. Has anyone had any success in mounting the MBRP Rack on THIER 2011 2-door

Yes. There are brackets on the inside that extends dows to the tub.
