Default Trek Top Question

Howdy.

I bought a Treck Top today off CL and it's missing the hardware.

I've got a soft top on my Jeep and was told by Bestop on the phone that it would work with my surrounds.

My problem is that it does not have a header bar...

What do I need to order so this top will work? Some sort of header bar I know, but don't know which one.

Thanks for helping.

Post pictures of what you got... the header bar is kinda built in to the fabric top, so I don't know how it could be separated?

I looked again, and followed instructions better, I am now missing the header knobs and header plates.

Now I need to figure out how to acquire them.

The header snaps into place on the older model. But I'm pretty sure you will need the hardware. The older top attaches via velcro and won't work with the stock soft top hardware.

If that's my case, then this sucks... It's dark out now so I can't tell exactly what's what. I'll have to play with it more in the morning. I remember seeing velcro on the top. I hope I don't have to order new door surrounds, can't really afford that.

Update to come Sunday mornin.

Update... After more research. I have the older style trektop with velcro sides that requires special door surrounds. Before I bought, I called Bestop and their rep on the phone said the Trektop would work with my older style factory soft top door surrounds, but I can't figure out how.

I also know I am missing the header plate and header screw knobs. I have the header bar already installed on the top along with the back window and I'll use my factory rear bar.

Anyone know how to get the header screws and plates? Along with getting the door surrounds somehow? Everywhere I look only has surrounds for the new style.

bestop.com/installation_guides/56805.pdf

Has part numbers listed for all hardware.

From Bestop website....

Can I get replacement parts for my Bestop soft top?

Yes. A majority of parts are available and can be purchased directly from Bestop or our distributors. You may call toll-free in the U.S.A. and Canada at 1-800-845-3567 (International Customers please call U.S.A. 303-465-1755) or email Bestop Customer Service for more information or contact any of our Where to Buy distributors.

Ok, got it all taken care of. Bestop was great dealing with. Got new surrounds and new header bolts and plates. Only "bad" thing was that the bolts, nuts, and washers got lost in transit and had to run to local hardware store to find suitable replacements.

New question though;

It leaks at the driver's side front when it rains. Doesn't leak on Passenger. Also, any ways to reduce the wind noise coming from A-Pillar area?
