I bought my first wrangler a few months ago and want to put a winch on it by spring(2011, jk). I'm looking at the Q series 9000 but I want to put it on my stock bumper,with plate of course, any comments??

 

I personally love my Superwinch, best money spent ever. It's been reliable and performed under harsh conditions. Pulled a buddlies H3 truck out along with the tree stump he was stuck on with out any hesitation. Plus it's submersible.

 

Installed the ASFIR plate, easy install no need to remove bumper.

 

I bought the Q9000 for my wife's Jk and have used it on a couple of wheeling trips for recovering other vehicles and self-recovery and it performed like a champ. For the $$$ very happy.

 

What winch do you got ?

 

I have a Bulldog 10K winch. I used an old TJ winch plate that I mounted to the frame. Then I cut the TJ plate and the factory bumper plastic to fit around the winch.

Ive made probably aobut a dozen pulls with this set up. It works great, some of the times the vehicle that Im pulling has been so stuck it pulls me towards them. Point it, this thing is secure!
