Default Best way to keep floor mats from ripping

I purchased some aftermarket floor mats and I noticed the hook is starting to rip into the mats. The mats are only 4 months old. Any recommendations on how to keep from tearing further?

Maybe put like a metal square around it and on the bottom and you bolt them together like a sandwich so it doesn't rip anymore (:

Gorilla glue a large washer on the underside of the hole, and save your hard earned cash for your next mod/upgrade

Mine are holding up good after 2 1/2 years. No tears. Definitely a good investment
