Default Best 37-38" tire

Highly considering the Goodyear MTR Kevlars, probably in a 38 because the width goes to 14.50 at that point. What do you think of these or what have you heard? Any 37-38" tires you think are better?

I could be wrong and it might be better now with inventory, but those tires(more so that size) were very hard to get. Back ordered nationwide and hard to find a 38" in a bind being that its not a typical size as say a regular 37 or 35.

Being said - I went with the Toyo Open Country MT. 37 x 13.50 so it's wider as well. Especially with my 4.25" backspaced wheels it looks very nice

How do they perform on and off-road?

I have toyos and love them !!!!

35,000 miles and still have over 50% tread. Great tires on road and amazing in the trails/rocks.

Incredibly well. Tires balance with less than 4oz. Run 30psi, road noise is not bad(need to realize they are BIG and the lugs are big as well, so you will get noise). Aired down to 15psi on the trails - amazing. Super strong sidewalls, killer tread.... just a great tire for me so far.

Good to know. Has anyone heard any negatives about the Kevlars though? I found them in 38's for around the same price as the toyos, and I like the look of the kevlars better, just wanna make sure they perform as well

Haven't heard anything negative about them, no. Just that they are hard to get at times, that's all.

They have balalancing issues, and he sidewalls are prone to puncturing on rocks. The Toyo is a better tire. Yes it is heavier, but it is also much more durable
