Default Newbie lift question.

I have debated posting this question so I don't look like too much of an idiot. I've searched and searched and never really found the answer.

Here's my situation and question.

I have '12 JKU COD MW3 Rubi which you know comes with heavier front and rear bumpers. I also have the winch installed which adds more weight. The dealerships around here are very picky about lifts, but my dealer said they would install the 2" spacer lift and not give me any grief about warranty issues. I run a 35" tire on it as well.

With all of the added weight, I didn't get nearly as much of the 2" as my '11 JK with the same lift and 32's is the same height at my '12. Also, while doing any flexing, I rub the hell out of my fenders.

My question is: Could I put different springs than the stock rubicon springs that would help with this? I'm thinking that this would go mainly unnoticed and I would be able to benefit some. Or should I just buy another set of flat flares and call it a day? I really don't want to cut these since they're painted and I really don't have the talent to cut them.

My 11 has Bushwacker flat fares while my '12 doesn't. I thought about taking the flats off of the '11 and putting them on the '12, but going from a 2dr to a 4dr, I'm sure the rears are different as well as I would have to buy all new liners for the '11 and it would suck to basically do 2 vehicles at a time. I would just rather buy another set.

What are the last 2 numbers on your spring tags? You might be able to install 19's on the front to pick it up.

I had 18's on the front of mine with stock JKU bumper, winch & winch plate and then installed LoD full width front bumper with winch, bar, skid plate along with 19's and it lifted it 1/2" more than it was. The bumper along weighted about 95 lbs, not counting the skid plate.

I was looking at the same thing. I have an 07 JKU X with a Teraflex 2'" lift, But it still sits low in the front. I checked my front springs and the are 14/15s. If I find a set of 19s will it give me a little more of a lift up front? I have 59s on the rear. Or is it a waste of time? Maybe just jump to the 2 1/2 spring lift instead.

Yes they are Mopar springs. You'll have to order them from the factory unless you can find them in the for sale section.

A set of 18's or 19's would probably give you about 2" of lift. You can find 18's used pretty easy.

You should be able to find the used springs pretty cheap. On the other hand.

I don't do this for anybody. I would be willing to trade you straight up for my stock bumpers. That should help with your weight problem and give you some added height.
