Default Magnaflow offroad exhaust... drone?

I read on another thread, that the Magnaflow Offroad exhaust has a bad drone at around 1500-2000 rpm. I would like to hear from people who are actually running this kit. I had my mind set on the exhaust, but now I'm having second thoughts.

to me it was more like all rpms... i had this kit on about a weekend took it off and left it off with a straigt pipe. I juts recently cut the pipe on the straight stretch from the transmission back and installed a $20 thrush glasspack and to be honest its a deeper tone and slightly louder than the quiet magnaflow. I know glasspack went thru my mind as loud as hell but its not, its just a fiberglass filled muffler there is nothing in there making it crazy loud.

I have the MagnaFlow offroad exhaust on my 2013 JKUR and I love it. That being said I can't speak for the 3.8 which appears to be what you have. I have 4.10 gears in mine so if i'm doing 80mph its a little noisy there. But if i'm just cruising around 65mph its just a low growl. I personally dig it. When you floor it, it sounds absolutely pissed. I has a nice burble at idle. I totally recommend it.

Hey, that was me who posted that i believe, actually the drone is really bad between 2000-2500 rpm. But like others say when your gearing down there is a nice burble sound and it does sound very aggressive, I usually have to turn the music way up to drown out the drone around those rpm's. But in saying that I have had it on now for about 8 months, so it cant be as bad as I made it sound. If you do end up buying it though you can't say I didn't tell ya so!

I wouldn't get it again, at low RPM's it doesn't even sound like an aftermarket exhaust. Looks great, just wish it sounded a little more meaty

Does anybody have a sound clip from inside the cabin with the 3.8L while accelerating?
Seems like I'm back to square one again on what exhaust I'm getting. Needs to pull the trigger soon though

Had drone issue. Anyone with a drone at 2k rpm - I recommend to install a glass pack (12 or 18 inches) inline before the muffler. Cheap and perfect to quiet drone while maintaining pretty much rest of the sound and decreased back pressure.

I have the MBRP high clearance offroad exhaust and HAD a drone issue. The fix cost $20 bucks. Search online a buy a 2 1/2 inch exhaust VENTURI and install it in the pipe directly in front of the muffler. What it does is, it accellerates the exhaust velocity and clears the pipe better. 20 bucks, no more drone.

Just an fyi update. Installed the kit last week. There is a bit of a drone at 2000-2500 rpms. When you stomp it, the thing sounds like an apocalypse, love it. Was what I was looking for actually. I have no problem living with it.

Can you provide some details of what you are recommending? Searching online, I am seeing more reducer type things which is not really what we are talking about.
Thanks
