My wife has a bad back and has trouble getting in and out of our jeep. Has anyone found any solution for something like this. I saw a homemade drop down ladder like you'd use to get off a 2nd story ( although not as long) on a lifted jeep this summer. At present our best idea is to get a plastic step stool and tie a rope on it so she can pull it up after she's seated.

The step stool and rope is a good idea and does work. We had to do this for my dad after he lost most of his mobility and leg strength. In addition, go to Welcome distributing and get their grab handles. They are a great product and Ken one of the owners provides the best service anywhere. These handles are rock-solid and have made getting into our jeep a breeze for my wife as well as everyone else.

I think you need a taller wife . But as stated above, may need to lift the wife or get some side steps to protect the jeep. Happy wife, happy life!

M.O.R.E has a nice step.. Folds in and out & quick removal when you hit the trails

Or if you want some rocker protection MBRP has a combo.. Steps come off with 4 bolts

Okay - had to say it.
Sometimes we have to make the big sacrifice to make sure all are happy.
Trade in the wife for a taller one.

Yep - I am doomed for sure but I know my wife does not read this forum.
Enjoy

I have these and they work great for my wife (5' nothing) and my 9 and 6 year old boys. The steps come off easily enough. They've taken a couple of good knocks and done a pretty good job of keeping the rockers protected.

Steps will definitely be cheaper than a new wife though.
