Default PSC Brawler Lite vs EVO 1/4 Stinger - Opinions & Pictures

Guys:

I am looking for opinions on the PSC Brawler Lite and Evo 1/4 Stinger front bumpers only. If you have experiences with either of these and/or pictures I would love the input. I would really like to see pictures from the side for both bumpers.

The only real difference that I do like between the two is that the 1/4 puts the winch down between the frame rails. I do think the PSC looks better than the 1/4 and will match my Exp-One rear bumper a little better.

Thanks!

Do you happen to have how much it weighs and the dimensions on it? I have tried looking but can not find anything on the size of it. Weight I have seen between 74 and 96 lbs.

Thanks!

I have the poison spyder brawler lite and I love it. Looks great, fantastic build quality, easy install, and great functionality. That said I can't compare it to the evo as I have had no experience with that bumper. My brawler, with tube gussets and d-rings, weighed just under 90 lbs. Hope this helps!

EVO 1/4 pounder with stinger is over 100lbs. It's heavy, because its designed to see and take abuse without issue, if you think it looks good, thats just a bonus. The reason I went with the EVO is it tucks the winch low and in between the frame rails. I run a Warn PowerPlant winch and its tall, don't like the way it looks when it sits above the frame rails.

Both bumpers are serious pieces of off road equipment. I think for most guys it come down to fine details that make you choose one over the other. Either one is a great choice and looks awesome.

I couldn't agree with you more. I think they both have slight differences that make them attractive.

Another thing I like about the PSC over the 1/4 is that it seems to have more light mounting options than the 1/4. Plus it does not require any modification to the frame in the front.

Question I have is, in the description it talks about being able to mount my rubi swaybar disco higher than stock. Is there a kit for this like there is for the pump relocation? Only place I have seen a kit to turn up the disco in the rubi's is on Metal Cloaks website......

You don't happen to have some detailed pictures of your bumper do you GCM 2?? This is also my hold up on the 1/4, is that all I have seen is front or 1/4 shots of the bumper. None of how it looks on the inside where the winch mounts or from underneath and how it mounts up.

You rotate the e-disco out of the way with the 1/4 pounder. No kit is needed.

If the PSC bumper doesn't require cutting the lower bar off the bumper it will not have as good of an approach angle as the 1/4.

Not sure what pictures you want. But if I have them I'll post them up.

All that said, I think both are great looking bumpers and either is a good purchase.

Good luck!

I would like to see how that works with the e-disco if you have a picture of that. Or any others you have that are better detail than what is out on the interwebs.

Thanks for the details!

I took these for another member on wayalife the other day. You simply remove a bolt, drill the hole out, rotate the motor back and reinsert the bolt.

From the bottom looking toward the passenger side. You can see the old hole which is where the bolt was originally inserted and the bolt above that is in it's new location.

From the top.

Hope these help. I can snap a picture of the clearance this creates. Pretty simple step to get the motor out of harms way.

I have the Brawler Lite and it is a good bumper. I have never compared approach angles to an Evo 1/4 pounder, so no point of reference. I think the Evo bumper being made of 1/4" steel if going to take a more abuse than the Brawler Lite. Pick the one you like the look of and when you want something different, sell it and get something new. Either one is going to be a good bumper.
