Default 2 DR running with no back seat - cargo floor/mat options/ideas?

I have zero use for the carpet or back seat in my 12 2DR JK. There doesn't seem to be any cargo matting available that will cover the entire area behing the front seats. I'm looking for ideas based on what others have done to create a flat load area back there. Pics appreciated too.

not sure if this is what your looking for but i built a simple wooden platform to strap all the gear to when we go wheeling and camping off road...

The hilift jack brackets hold the hilift and the pull pal winch anchor, the tie downs are based off my ARB fridge and 8 gallon action packers, works pretty well to keep everything held down. I cut the wood just barely behind the seats so if you fold the seats forward you can store things there but the footwells are now semi enclosed. I used some bedliner to make it look a little better....

The board is hooked with j hooks and wingnuts to the seat mount brackets in the floor.....HTH

How involved is removing the back seat?

very simple. Just fold the seat forward and pull the lever on the bottom and pull it out. I believe quadratec has a rear cargo mat? I wish someone made wedges that sat in the rear seat foot area to make the whole rear be flat. Would give a little more room...

ID:	389776I have the rear seat removed in my 2 dr for my yellow lab girl. Pulled the carpet and replaced it with Mopar's rubber liner kit. Around $300. Works great and I can use leaf blower in the summer to clean it out.

My back seat came out the first week I had the Jeep. Since my dog died, I pulled the carpet and bolted a good sized tool box back there. The rest is just paint.

I actually don't use that "secret compartment" cover any more, either. It just collects leaves and crap.

I see no reason for bedliner or anything. But that's just me.

This was my old YJ a few years back. Loved my Linex interior.

Can you post some more info about this mopar liner??

I pulled out my back seat the minute I got home with my jk from picking it up any dealer

I use flat ATV/cargo straps and I just thread them through the metal loops that are welded in place for the back seat to attach to.

I put all my gear in strong plastic cases and ratchet them down so no matter what nothing moves around when off roading

I haven't gotten the killer jack yet but when I do it's going on the hood with a set of the ACE Hardware mounting brackets

I have only one pic of the front. I bought mine on ebay. Quadratec use to sell them, but site says "no longer available". Maybe discontinued, not sure. Cool though it replaces all your carpet other than the carpeted rear storage lid.

I just picked up the quadratec liner and it works great. Just use a Velcro grab handle behind the seat with a tie down to hold a cargo box. Works great.
