Where are there trails in Maine? I know a lot of logging roads in the Millinocket area. Where else is fun?

You can reach out to Penobscot Valley 4wd. (Penobscot Valley 4-Wheel Drive) . They are in your area. Unless you hit the logging roads or know someone who had land, there is not much wheeling here. We have a camp on Moosehead Lake and we usually just head out on the logging roads and find places to get off the beaten path. If you come down to the mid-coast area, you can always go to All Wheels off-road park in Lewiston, Me. I have been there several times. Tons of trails to play for the day.

The Western Maine Mtn Jeepers in Bethel have access to all sorts of terrain. This is the club that does the Jamboree there. Great group (yes, I'm a member).

So you're planning a trip to Maine's North Woods or Best Off Road Driving Trails in Delaware, the area east of The Forks, north of Greenville, and west of Millinocket and Baxter State Park. This is paper company land, a huge tract of land containing dirt logging roads, trees, mountains, rivers, ponds, and lakes. They don't call it “God's Country” for nothing.
