Default 2013 Horrible ride after lift

I am so disapointed with my coilsprings and shocks in my 2013 2DR . Brand new Jeep has been sitting in the garage for 3 weeks and now i know why i dont even want to drive it. Went out with the family last night to see santa at frosty fest i could not wait to get home and park it my f-250 rides better. The set up i have now RK 2.5" coils with bilstein 5100 shocks i have not even hooked my front or rear swaybars up I ran the same set up with sway bars in my 4DR and always thought it was stiff anyone who says that there RK kit rides better than stock must be running 5psi in the tires. I Really want the RK long arm with 8" stretch cause the RK arms are pure awsome and king coilovers.

Default crappy ride

I feel the same way you do . I think just about anyone that says there budget lift rides great is either lieing to themselfs , or don't know the diff. How can you know the diff. if you haven't had a nice long arm to compare it to ? I bought my 2008 JKUR from the dealer with a 3 or 4 inch short arm budget kit from Pro Comp , and it rode so crappy , I almost had a lemon law case . I figured that the prob. was not the jeep , but the lift. I went out and got the most expensive long arm system I could afford with Fox remotes . and have been loving it ever since ! Good luck

Maybe your bump stops are long?

Every post in this thread makes no sense. Are you posting to rant about your "horrible" ride? Are you asking for help? I don't understand.

Buying the most expensive lift you can is most certainly not the answer. You can have an excellent ride with a quality, properly set up lift for under $900.

It took letting your jeep sit for three weeks to understand why you don't want to drive it? Why?

You haven't hooked your sway bars up? Why?

What tires are you running? What psi are they at?

Do you honestly think people are running their tires at 5 psi on the street daily driving their rigs? Or is it more likely their lift is properly setup and they are running anywhere from 27-32 psi in their tires?

Also consider using periods so people don't have to work so hard to decipher what you're trying to say. Perhaps you'll get more helpful responses. If that is even what your looking for, because I'm still not sure I understand what your post is all about....

I agree.... I have a RK 3.5" and 35" MTR Kevlars and it rides way better than my diesel.
Something is very wrong if it feels that bad. Obviously there's a ride difference between long and short arms but at your lift height it should not be so bad. Something's binding or something.
Try to loosen everything up and bounce the hell out of it then torque it all back o spec.

X2, I also have an RK 3.5" and 35's and mine rides almost the same as stock. The only difference I noticed was from the added weight of the larger tires.

I can honestly say my JK with 2.5" spring lift and Bilstein shocks rides/handles as good as it did stock. I run my KM2s at 30 psi and it rides great. It's still a Jeep, but it's not a shitty ride.

Were all the control arms and track bars loosened up and torqued with the Jeep on the ground? What tire pressure are you running?

I pieced my lift together and it rides awesome! much better than OE. I was very unhappy with my initial RC susp lift, ripped that kit off and began piecing the lift I wanted. In short without all the 'little things', my lift consists of: Fox 2.0 Remote Res shocks, EVO plush ride coils, longer RK adj LCA's, and Full Tractions HD rear swaybar. The ride quality on and off road is top notch.

x2, I also have the 2.5" RK lift with 5100 Bilsteins and it rides great. To prove my point I even took off my 33" swampers and started running my stock 32" Rubi moabs. When I compare it to my stock suspension, the RK definitely rides better especially going over the little imperfection/bumps on the road.

Like what others mentioned, first check your PSI (try running 26-30lbs) and double check your control arms & track bars...
