Modifying suspension few parts at time to run 37's possible?
I have an 09 rubicon with Teraflex 2 1/2" spring lift. It's about time for new tires (currently 35's), I would love to run 37's but it'd be easier on my budget if I could add a few parts at a time. Not a hard core wheeler but when I'm finished way down the road, I'd like it to work well on moderate trails.
So could I build a piece at time?
For instance could I just do upper and lower rear control arms only to shift axle back, maybe get slight bigger bumpstops, and run my 37's for a while. It looks like lots of room up front and with an extra inch or so at back it'd clear.
Then swaybars, then, brakelines, trackbars, gears etc.? Maybe I can salvage some of what I've already installed.
Or do I need to just drop $2000.00 on complete kit (ie Rock Krawer 3.5) that has most everything I'll need, scrap what I have and start over?
Thanks for the advice

I have flat fenders. Maybe I could just trim rails and pinch welds and stick them on. Thing is, it'll look cool but might not work well at all. Haven't considered body lift. Thought I could do this without the drivelines. I could have it wrong. Thank u anybody else have ideas?

It is definitely easier on the wallet and on the mind to upgrade items slowly piece by piece. However in the long run it will be more expensive to upgrade one item at a time. Just scraping it and starting over with a complete Rock Krawler kit would ultimately be the cheaper option even though it might not seem like it at the time.
I currently have a basic 4" Skyjacker lift and I miss my 37s and long arms of my old jk..... So I'm keeping in my skyjacker lift and adding evo long arm upgrade kit, evo gussets, Evo rock star skids, and artec front and rear axle trusses, I'm leaving my factory 4.10s in for now, maybe ill go for 5.13s but it's a dd so I dunno, my Sahara had 4" Rancho long arm suspension lift with 37X12.50R18 BFG KM2 and stock 3.73's and was fine so 4.10s will be fine for me..... All I got left to buy is the long arms and brackets

Here's my 2011 Rubi on a 3" Full Traction lift, 3/4" spacers, and flat fenders on 37" Iroks. Stock control arms and driveshafts front and rear and running 4.10 gears. Over 40k miles when I sold her, and some decent trail time... As long as you have clearance via springs/ fenders/ trimming for the tires, you can add control arms and aftermarket shafts as money and needs dictate.
