Default Plastic Cover on Driveshaft

Went wheeling this Saturday and tore a plastic cover that went over the front part of the driveshaft.. Could it be like a dust cover? Thanks in advance !!!

During full droop,your drive shaft will make contact with skid plate tearing the boot for the slip joint.Ran ours without boot til we replaced the shaft,just kept it lubed

dust boot for cv joint drive shaft shop or way better to start shopping for new front drive shaft

Be sure to remove the whole boot and clamps otherwise you will get vibrations in the drive shaft.
