Leaky Power Steering gear box
I have a 2009 two door Jk with the Currie D60, correct link tie rod and drag bar, adjustable everything anti-rock sway bar, four inch short arm lift, running 35" tires..... I have about 12,000 miles on it. I do drive it on the street when the weather is nice, but it spends most of its time off road. My steering gear box is leaking. What to do? I called up Redneck Hydraulic assist steering to see about doing their rebuild and assist setup. He told me, that because my gear box is the color black, it is made in China . He doesn't have a guaranteed fix for it. He says he rebuilt one about a month ago and hasn't had any complaints so far. He will do the same for me, but he can't give me a warranty. So, my first question is how can I check where my gear box was made to see if it actually is Chinese made. Any other ideas for a fix that will last? I looked at PSC too. They seem very expensive.
