im hoping to make the 37 jump pretty soon. when I regear, im also planning on doing c gussets and sleeves. should I also have the shop do ball joints as well? would this save on labor since they will be working on the axle anyway? or are ball joints something I could do myself witht the help of a buddy?

You can do ball joints yourself, but you need the right tools and it's going to be a hard job if things are baked in rust on your Jeep. If you don't want to do it yourself, then I'd let the shop do it at the same time. Get some quality heavy duty ball joints, like Synergy. You will want them with 37's for sure.

I have an 08 w/ 80k . My lift was a pain in the ass to install because of the rust, so im guessing having someone else do it would be wiser.

Definitely have them install when you regear, make sure you get nice ones so they'll last ie synergy or dynatrac.

I did this when regearing and it didn't cost for any additional labor for me, just paid for parts. Was worth it. Like others said, I would do it
